In another deal today, former Clipper Corey Maggette reached agreement to join the Golden State Warriors in a five-year deal worth about $50 million, according to NBA sources who requested anonymity because they are not authorized to speak about player movements. Maggette also opted out of the last year of his Clippers contract last week.

Very overpaid. Dude isn't a superstar. Bad move for the warriors too if you ask me. They lose Baron and go sign a decent player in Maggette to lead the team. Eh they are going to suck.

No question BDiddy is going to be missed. People are going to now compare Corey to BDiddy, which I think is unfair for him. He's not a leader like Baron; he'll never be. He's a really good player, but I don't think Golden State did the right thing. They got another slasher who is a subpar shooter to go along with the other forwards they have in:

team captain stephen jackson, al harrington, azubuike, and brandan wright. their lineup looks like this now:

pg - monta
sg - maggs
sf - stephen jackson
pf - al harrington
c - biedrins

too many slashers, not enough low post scoring, not enough balance. they remind me of the wizards, who get bounced almost every year in the 1st/2nd round of the playoffs...in the east. chances are the warriors will have a tough time in the west. their gm should've pushed harder for brand; he would've been ideal.

Isn't Jackson more suited for a SG then Maggs?
