Oft-injured Kerry Wood is out again -- this time because of a flub in a hot tub.

The Chicago Cubs pitcher is not expected to throw off the mound for a few days after he slipped this week getting out of a hot tub at home. Wood landed on his stomach and chest.

Man its that dang curse.... if you believe in them. I wouldn't blame this one on the curse of the Cubs though, more like the curse of Kerry Wood.

just imagine how dangerous this Cub team would be if Wood and Prior could stay healthy. They'd have a rotation of Big Z, Wood, Prior, and Rich Hill with a lineup featuring Soriano, ARam, and Derrek Lee.

As it stands...well, outside of Z and Hill their rotation is pretty shoddy without the oft-injured Wood and Prior so they'll be lucky to sneak into the Wild Card

I don't think this injury is severe - he'll probably be ready by opening day

Of course come September Prior and Wood will be having multiple surgeries

I say this every year but I think Prior will be more healthy than normal. I say Wood isn't, and they combine for about 16 wins.

the Cubs should just get rid of Wood - Prior's still in his 20s so he might have a shot at still being a solid pitcher.

Maybe I should have kept my tongue a week ago when I told two friends that the Cubs would make it to the WS this year. If Wood is going to keep getting bumped around that prediction might go the by boards. I was actually believing with the Cubs' strong hitting attack, plus healthy seasons from Zambrano, Wood, and Prior the Cubs might actually do it. One more accident and it's back to the drawing boards.
