Josh knew no one was ever going to pay him 7 mil a season here in the states. Add to that the money being tax exempt and the current state of the US Dollar, Mr. Childress is probably going to make more money in the next 3 years than if he would probably make in about 5-6 years in the NBA.

He'll be back, though, and probably will sign for cheaper in hopes of winning a ring.

^ Who cares? Artest is a HUGE liability in terms of character. People talk about players being injury prone and thus not wanting him. Artest is prone to being a moron and gets suspended for being a moron. I'm glad that Lakers didn't get him.

Well, considering the Rockets got Artest for literally nothing (Bjax is past prime and donte green has decent potential), they have the pieces in place. No doubt Artest's main critique is that he is a nutjob and that he will be more a detrement than a positive for his team. I think he realizes that he can't do it himself, that if he fills whatever role the Rockets need him to, he actually will be a huge bonus.

That said, it's all contingent on the Rockets winning and being successful. Ronnie's not going to complain about lack of touches if the Rockets win 60 games. However, T-Mac and Yao HAVE to stay healthy for this to work. If not, the whole chemistry of the team will be crap and they'll flame out in the first round.
