they have some solid players outside the big 3 - Rajon Rondo, Tony Allen, and Eddie House aren't slouches. And to me the skills of KG, Pierce, and Ray complement each other pretty well. I definitely wouldn't be surprised to see the Celtics in the top 3 in the east next year.

I agree, I see their style of play complementing each other pretty well, and plus they aren't known to have overbearing egos, which is important when putting together a team. However, they do need size, who's their center? Kendrick Perkins? While they will probably have no trouble on offense, their defense is their soft spot. They need a physical big man ala Kwame to anchor their D (I can't believe i used Kwame and D in the same sentence) but a big physical guy in the middle'll allow KG to come from the weakside and contest the shot. Their point guard situation looks promising with Rondo, I am in love with this guy he's a ferocious rebounder/defender and not a big ball hog. The Celts need some depth with quality players, they're one ankle tweak away from dropping from a top 3 team to a fringe-playoff team. (depending on whose ankle man10 )

If Reggie does come back, it'll solely be to come back and haunt the Knicks, since they're in the same division mhihi

Its so nice to have basketball back. Durant shoots more than Kobe and makes a heck of a lot less. I know he is a rookie but dang he couldn't hit a shot to save his life. 7-22 shooting and at half time he was 3-14 so he went 4-8 in the second.

i agree, denver is pretty nasty. no real glaring weakness at any position except for maybe the 2 guard position.

Garnett with 23 pts / 13 rebs tonight. But they needed my boy Ray Allen in OT to win. He had 33 points. Pierce only had 13. I haven't had a chance to see a game yet, I bet it is pretty amazing.

I'm sorta listening to the Celtics knock Denver upside their head and then guess who's name I hear ... VON WAFER! You CLers will know who he is. I guess he is on Denver. He is getting Garbage time in the 3rd and Boston is winning by 37, 101 to 64 with a minute left in the 3rd.

The Celtics are lucky. They can take advantage of the JV East.

Should be interesting to see when they face Phoenix, San Antonio, Dallas and
The Lakers.
