Dude he's been on the decline since the end of 03. Zito's been riding the coattails of his Cy Young Award, and he'll never be at the level he once was

I'm only going to say one thing right now - NEVER make an assumption about Zito's year after an opening day start, because he's been horrible on opening day for a while now.
He didn't pitch great though, threw a lot of pitches in the innings he was in there, but I'm not blaming him for the loss, it's that crappy offense. Damn.
On the plus side, Durham made a nice diving play heading into the outfield to take a hit away from the Pads'. |
