You guys are too young to remember these.. but i used to collect these when i was a kid i had the whole 81 team they used to do it every year... damn i miss these.. can anyone else find any info on these???

Darth, now don't eat your heart out from what I'm going to tell you because I will make sure you get one from me when we run into each other. Maybe you even have one. I have the best of all the Union Oil Posters-------the 1963 Dodgers Sweep of the Yankees with Koufax, Podres, and Drysdale taking the lion's share of the red background poster, with Roseboro, Perranoski, T. Davis, Skowron, Gilliam and Howard taking lesser roles on the sheet. True, I had fallen away from the Dodgers after they left Brooklyn but had never lost my hatred of the Yankees and somehow I got a whole slew of them from a friend and have kept them to this day. |

Darth, sometimes I wish I was in my 20's again so I can keep up with the current lingo, but I think you got me with your reply. I think you said my collection was impressive but I don't know. I did talk to one of my neighbors and she wants one of those Union Oil posters so I would think they are still pretty popular.
What was with Broxton yesterday? Couldn't find the plate with a telescope if he had one. He, Beimel and Saito are vital for the success of the Dodgers this year and will someone tell me why our defense is still shaky as h#ll? |

It looks like I'm going to have to retool by vocabulary to keep up with you guys.

| I have the whole set from 82. They also made two other portrait sets in the early 60's. Those sets are harder to come by. Union 76 also made a nice set commemorating great moments in Dodgers history. If I get some time I'll dig them out and scan them. |
