glad to see that some people are coming from the (Four Letter Word) boards as well as the dodger.com forums. I posted on those boards to try and get people to join. Glad to see that some actually signed up here. jam2

I'm Ryan in Arizona. Lifelong Cubs fan, but picked the Dodgers to win the NL West this year.

Actually I found this site through Club Suns.com It appears to be the only baseball site on this network, so I'm here to talk baseball even if it's 99% Dodger talk.

I seriously do like LA to win the West though. haha

I grew up watching the Cubs AAA affiliate, the Iowa Cubs for the first 7 years of my life. When a guy was playing well, he got called up to the big club. I'd follow their progress on WGN, and my old man had the Chicago Tribune delivered every Sunday and I'd always be reading the sports page.

Living a few hundred miles from Chicago for the first 7 years of life hooked me originally. Then moving to AZ, we didn't have a team so I stayed with them. I couldn't abandon my childhood team to root for the D-Backs... They wore purple and teal until this year for God's sake! haha

Thanks for the welcome everyone.

Welcome. My dad's from Chicago and is a lifelong Cubs fan too. I feel your pain. After watching game 6 and 7 of the 2003 NLCS with my old man, I seriously considered suicide watch for him man1

Bro, my whole family and I were on suicide watch. In my neighborhood people were bringing me leftovers to eat because I didn't leave the house for three days. That was the roughest time in my life. I'm blessed that a sports team losing like that is the worst thing to happen to me, but that doesn't make it easier.

SCREW NEXT YEAR!

My name's Eric

Born in LA, went to New York for high school, now attend college in New York

Die-hard Lakers and Dodgers fan; Think...Know Los Angeles is the best city in the entire world mhihi

Mike Sweetney was my neighbor 3 years ago (I lived in a townhouse), when he was on the Knicks. Genuinely nice guy, only saw him a couple times. Definitely looks thinner in person and drives a pretty pimp car (forgot what it was, just remember it had tinted windows mhihi )

Now I live in an apartment building, where apparently another Knicks player lives. I dunno who, it's a pretty big apartment building (in the burbs). I'm planning on tracking him down and finding out who he is man10

Hi guys

I just joined. My name is Terry, I'm 35 yo and I live in the city of Thousand Oaks Ventura County. I've been a big Dodgers fan since I was about 8 when my dad took me to my first game at Dodger Stadium. I'm married with 3 awesome sons aged 10, 12 and 14, and we're all big Dodgers fans in this house, though my wife is originally a New Yorker so I also like the Mets.

Apart from the Dodgers guys my favorite players are Jeter, Glavine, Ichiro, Reyes, and from the past Cal Ripken and Mike Piazza. Piazza is my favorite player of all time, and I met him several times when he did some great work for a children's charity I was once involved with.

I'm not a big fan of other sports, only baseball really, though I like hockey sometimes we go and watch the L A Kings.

See you around - GO DODGERS
