Andy LaRoche (24) que estaba compitiendo para el lugar de tercera base con Nomar Garciaparra, necesita cirugía en el dedo gordo de la mano derecha. El equipo es para que perdera por lo menos 8 a 10 semanas.
La Rocha se lastimo en la quinta entrada en la derrota contra Los Cardenales 6-4. Garciaparra que tambien recibio un pelotaso en en su muñeca izquierda, entro a tomarse rayos X. Garciaparra anoto un cuadrangular junto con Andre Ethier y Andruw Jones.
