| You showed us what you're capable of doing Lake Show, now take care of them at home and finish them off in Game 6. |

sh*t happens and its time to move on
plenty of basketball to be played, i'd like to see the Lakers go out fighting rather than rolling over. We'll see
regardless, good season. We'll be far stronger next year...more than I can say for the Dodgers. Just gotta suck it in, it hurts, but thats the way things go. _________________

Haven't felt this way in a long time; even in 2004, but we didn't blow the biggest lead in the NBA Finals, ever.
As bad as us as fans feel, I could only imagine how the players feel. They'll be known as the biggest chokers in the history of the Finals. And knowing Kobe's mentality, he's probably in the worst place in the world right now.
So, with Game 5 being on Sunday, I only have one request of the Lakers. Please give us 110% the whole game; Don't give up, give it all you've got and go down fighting. |

No, the Celtics will, when the Lakers come back from 3-1 to win the Finals. _________________

Game 5 was one of the most unsatisfying wins I have ever seen.
If the Lakers play like this in Game 6, without a doubt, the Celtics will win by 20+ |

As much as the knee-jerk reaction is to trade odom and multiple other players, Kupchak is going to do almost nothing in the off-season because he's gonna wait to see what the Kobe/Odom/Pau/Bynum combo is capable of doing. I would love to get Artest or some other defensive player, but all that's going to happen is sign some vet that's probably gonna do nothing but sit on the pine for us.
On the flip side, that's not however bad. We're a young team, and the way we start off next season will dictate the direction this team goes; I hope they work 200x harder this off-season and improve internally, like in the previous off-season, in which we improved internally as well. Oh well, let the speculation begin on this long off-season and get on the BLUE TRAIN
...that still really haven't left the station yet |

A little. They were both blowout losses in elimination games.
Just the only depressing difference is against the Suns we did not have the talent to beat them....as opposed to this series. _________________ "I don't like gnomes," he said. "I don't want to touch one. Keep that thing away from me." - Brad Penny |

I am going to say something controversial, but don't take it the wrong way. I am angry the Lakers lost. I really wanted them to win. We have an awesome team.
BUT
if we were going to lose I am glad it was to our Rivals the Celtics. Many players on that team are good, respectable players that really do deserve a ring. Who Do I mean? Well the big 3 of course! Garnett Pierece and Ray Ray. Now they have their rings and honestly I am happy for them. I just wish they didn't have to SMASH the lakers. We can take 'em next year ... we'll have bynum. |

Pierce - I had neutral feelings about him prior to this season. One of my pet peeves during this series was when he celebrated and started jumping up and down like an idiot with that stupid grin on his face. He did that constantly; I know if we were on the other side of the fence we would love it, but it still irks me.
Shuttlesworth - Again, neutral feelings. Admittedly one of the prettiest jumpers in the NBA. When he said the Kobe comment in 2004? about Kobe going to be selfish and blah blah, I remember thinking "HA, Ray's got NUTTIN' on the Kobster." I just failed to comprehend Sasha's logic to help off Ray in almost every possession.
KG - Liked him...as a fantasy player. I respected him trying to lead the TWolves by himself. Got traded, not necessarily his fault, but went to a stacked team and won. Simple as that. Disappears in crucial situations and his jumper is ugly as all hell, but no one in the world can block his post up, spin fade-away jumper. |

So what's next for us guys?
Stick through the trade rumors over summer and mature and work hard over summer?
or
Search for potential trades to shake things up? |

Guarantee no one will take on Luke's contract. Though the yearly salary is a little above the average, who would want 5 more years of Luke on the team? I think I remember readng somewhere last offseason that the Wiz would be a good fit for him?
Hmmmmm...Gil for Luke? |
